Pound Cake Recipe

Pound Cake Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 10 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Pound Cake Directions

Cream butter and sugar.  Sift flour, cream of tartar and salt together.  Add 1 egg to creamed butter and sugar mixture, mix well.  Continue until all ingredients have been used.  Add vnilla.  Place batter in large angel food cake pan.  Bake at 300 degrees for 90 minutes.
