Raspberry Bars Recipe
Raspberry Bars Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup raspberry jam
Directions for Raspberry Bars
Mix flour, sugar and oats. Work in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Press 1/2 evenly into the bottom of a greased 7 X 11 X 2 inch pan. Spread with raspberry jam. Press remaining mixture over jam, covering it completely. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until golden. Cool and cut into squares. Makes about 2 dozen.
Coconut Apricot Bars
Coconut Apricot Bar Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 package lemon cake mix
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
Directions for Coconut Apricot Bars
Grease and flour jelly roll pan (15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1 inch). Beat eggs, sugar, butter, water and half of cake mix, coconuts and apricots. Spread in pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until brown. Allow to cool, then spread with Cream Cheese frosting and cut into bars, 3 X 1 1/2 inches. Makes 30 Coconut Apricot Bars.
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 3-oz. package cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- red and yellow food coloring
Blend cheese, milk, vanilla and salt. Gradually add sugar, beating until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency. If necessary, add additional milk, 1 teaspoon at a time. Tint orange with a few drops of each food coloting.
Blond Brownie Recipe
Blond Brownie Ingredients
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 package chocolate chips
Directions for Blond Brownies
Sift flour, baking soda, salt and add nuts. Melt shortening, add 1 Tbsp. hot water, allow to cool. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture gradually, mixing well. Spread in greased 9 X 9 X 2 inch pan. Sprinkle in chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
Chocolate Crumble Bars Recipe
Chocolate Crumble Bars Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup flour
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups rice krispies
- tiny marshmallows
Chocolate Crumble Bars Directions
Mix, spread in 9 X 13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes then test. Sprinkle 2 cups tiny marshmallows over top and bake 3 minutes longer. Cool. In saucepan combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and melt over low heat. Stir in rice krispies and spread over cool bars.
Pumpkin Nut Bars Recipe
Pumpkin Nut Bars Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2/3 cup pumpkin, mashed
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Pumpkin Nut Bars Directions
Combine all ingredients except nuts in a large mixing bowl. Beat for 2 minutes with electric mixer at medium speed. Fold in nuts. Spread evenly in a 13 X 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Spread with orange frosting.
Orange Frosting
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. orange juice
Blend until smooth
Lime Squares Recipe
Lime Squares Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Topping
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- grated rind of 1 large lime
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Lime Squares Directions
Mix flour, butter, sugar and pecans and press into greased and floured 8 X 12 inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Beat 2 eggs with fork with 2 tablespoons lime juice, lime rind, sugar, flour and baking powder. Pour this over baked mixture and bake for 25 minutes in 350 degree oven. When cool, sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar and cut into squares. Make 40 lime squares.

Pecan Bars Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cup pecans
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Pecan Bars Directions
Mix butter, powdered sugar, 2 cups flour to a dough and press into a 9 X 13 inch pan, ungreased. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. While baking, mix eggs, brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Beat well, then add pecans and spread on hot crust. Return to oven and bake 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into small bars.
Cherry Bar Recipe
Cherry Bar Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Cherry Bar Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Mix flour with baking powder and add into mixture. Pour onto greased and floured cookie sheet. Drop cherry filling onto dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. When cool sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
Chocolate Pecan Pie Bar Recipe
Chocolate Pecan Pie Bar Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions for Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars
In a mixing bowl, stir together flour sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in 1/2 cup butter or margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Press into bottom of ungreased 9 X 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
In a small saucepan, combine the 1/4 cup butter or margarine and the chocolate; stir over low heat until chocolate is melted. In a small mixing bowl, combine eggs, brown sugar, water, and vanilla. Stir until well blended and combine chocolate with chocolate mixture. Pour over crust and return to oven and bake 20 minutes or until set. Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes 3 dozen.

Nut Chocolate Bars Ingredients
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Nut Chocolate Bars Directions
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour, baking soda and salt, add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in greased 11 1/2 X 7 1/2 X 1 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut Nut Chocolate Bars while warm. Makes 2 dozen bars.
