• 2 cups sugar
• 6 level Tbsp. cocoa
• 1 stick butter or margarine
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 3 cups quick cooking oats

Directions for Cocoa Oatmeal Cookies

Bring sugar, cocoa, butter and milk to a full boil.  Remove from heat and add peanut butter and oats.  Mix well.  Drop by teaspoons on wax paper and leave until firm.  Makes about 4 1/2 dozen 2 inch cookies.

Directions for Crunchy Oatmeal Cookies

Combine sugar, margarine, milk and cocoa.  Boil 1 1/2 minutes.  Take off stove and add rest of ingredients.  Stir well.  Drop by teaspoon on wax paper.  Let cool.

• 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions for Coconut Oatmeal Cookies

Cream sugar and eggs.  Add shortening, then flour with salt and baking soda.  Add vanilla, coconut and oatmeal.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

• 1 3/4 cups quick oats
• 1 cup wheat flour
• 1 cup white flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3 sticks margarine
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup white sugar

• 4 eggs
• 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter CookiesMix dry ingredients and set aside.  Cream and mix next six ingredients until well blended.  Add flour mixture.  Stir well, then mix chocolate chips.  Bake 10 to 11 minutes at 375 degrees until lightly browned.  Makes 8 dozen cookies.

Directions for Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Cream shortening and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Sift salt and soda with flour and add to the creamed mixture.  Add chocolate  chips and oats.  Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/2 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3 cups oatmeal
• 1/2 cup nut meats
• 1/2 cup coconut

Directions for Oatmeal Ice Box Cookies

Cream butter, shortening and sugars.  Add eggs and mix.  Mix dry ingredients, except nuts and coconut.  Stir dry ingredients into the batter.  Divide batter in half and add nuts to one half and coconut to the other half.  Form into long rolls.  Chill overnight.  Slice and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

• 1 1/2 cup honey
• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 egg
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 2 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 1/2 cup oatmeal
• 1/4 cup raisins OR 1/2 cup chocolate chips OR 1/2 cup flaked coconut
• 1 Tablespoon hot water

Directions for Honey Oatmeal Cookies

Cream honey and shortening; add beaten egg.  Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder and cinnamon together.  Add to honey mixture.  Add oatmeal, raisins (or chocolate chips or coconuts), water and vanilla.  Mix thoroughly.  Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes.  Makes 5 dozen cookies.

• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup melted shortening, cooled
• 1 tablespoon vinegar
• 2 cups oatmeal
• 1 cup raisins

Directions for Oatmeal Cookies

Beat eggs.  Add cooled shortening and 1 tablespoon vinegar.  Add by spoon, oatmeal, cinnamon, 2 cups brown sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 cup rasins.  Drop by spoonfuls on a greased floured baking sheet.  Bake Oatmeal Cookies for 8 – 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

• 2 squares melted chocolate
• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 3/4 cups rolled oats

Directions for Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Cream shortening.  Add sugar, eggs and chocolate.  Alternate dry ingredients with sour cream.  Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.  Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.  Frost with chocolate frosting.

• 1 apple, chopped
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup oatmeal
• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 (8 oz.) package dates, chopped

Directions for Apple Oatmeal Cookies

Cream shortening and sugar.  Add eggs and mix in rest of ingredients.  Drop from spoon and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until brown.
