Date Cookie Recipe
Date Cookie Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 cups slightly crushed cornflakes
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions for Date Cookies
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients; mix until blended. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop from a teaspoon onto buttered cookie sheet Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes or until delicately browned. Makes about 5 dozen Date Cookies.
