Vanilla Cookie Recipe
Vanilla Cookie Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Butter or Shortening
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg, Beaten
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/3 Cups Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
Directions for Vanilla Cookies
Cream butter (or shortening), gradually add the sugar, then the egg. Add flour sifted and mixed with baking soda and salt. Add the vanilla and beat well. Drop by the spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and press lightly with a fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.
